Indeed, for a large A4 file folder is space, but only if you extend the snap closures on the flap to the maximum length, you then can close the bag again. A narrow file folder, however, is no problem. You can also easily fit e.g. an A4 loose leaf-binder, loose A4 documents, a large notepad or magazines in the carryall.

There are two separate padded compartments for a small laptop (up to 14 inches) or a tablet computer, so you can securely keep your technical items.

You can best keep all small items in the two exterior front pockets or in the two additional zip pockets on the inside. In addition, there are two more small organiser pockets, e.g. to keep business cards or tissues.

Conclusion:

So if you are looking for a briefcase in a similar style where you can keep wide A4 folders or a larger laptop (15.6 inches), please choose bag 420-n (size L) or 422 (size XL).

But if you feel strongly about a compact, lined business bag which is not too large and heavy and where you can keep your most important documents anyway and a small laptop securely and which is sturdy as well, suitable for a trolley and approved as hand luggage, you are making the right choice with this leather bag 410- in the trendy vintage style. 

ATTENTION: With this bag, one can partly see scratches and scars of the buffalo leather due to the open-pored leather processing. This does not indicate any flaw of the leather but is a sign of the wanted natural look.
